  • Just ate here today. It was fantastic. We have two small children who are not always the easiest to please. Our waitress (can't remember her name) was very patient and helped my son create his dream meal: bacon, fries, and grapes. The local beer was wonderful - I had a wheat hibiscus, the food was just amazing. The crab bisque and curried chicken salad were both the best I've had. The patio was shady and comfortable. We travel to the area once a year and plan on making a stop at this restaurant a yearly tradition.

  • Everything is fresh and absolutely amazing. Definitely ask about dessert! The waitress (the young lady from Brooklyn) totally pampered us and was super sweet with our young daughter. The mac & cheese is fabulous, the hummus platter was amazing - and the salads were truly not like anything anywhere else. And huge portions! Highly recommend, we will definitely be back! PS: It was over 90 degrees today, and with the fans gently blowing, it was quite comfortable.

  • Justine and partner Drew Evans have repackaged parts of the Planet X CafĂ© concept and morphed them into the new Blacksmith restaurant in the tiny town of Berlin, Md., just 10 minutes west of Ocean City, Md. Blacksmith is a friendly, noisy, upbeat neighborhood bar and eatery with friendly servers, lots of craft beers, low lighting and Justine gliding from table to table.   • The food lived up to the shadow of the drinks. We had the housemade burger and old bay infused brats... both of which were so amazing and mouthwatering, I had to catch a little drool. All in all, I very rarely formally review restaurants, however, Blacksmith deserved ten minutes. 5 out of 5

  • Blacksmith is absolutely amazing. We were immediately impressed with the cool atmosphere and locally sourced ingredients. Our server was attentive and offered great recommendations, pairing drinks with meals. The squash ketchup and shrimp taquitos were some of our favorite eats...
